A season for BIRTHdays

January 19th! January 19th! What about February and half of March you ask? Well, they really did exist and I still can't believe I have neglected my blog since January 19th.

We are enjoying our 2 weeks of Spring Break. I love that we have NO BIG plans for this much needed lull in our schedule. Aside from school - baseball, golf, piano, girl scouts and theater are all on hold for this most wonderful 2 weeks. The kids are not so excited about the spring cleaning/decluttering projects that I have planned....but they are enjoying hanging out in our pj's until noon, staying up late watching movies, swimming (yes, the water is only 70 degrees and they decided to give it a go) and hanging out with friends.

I must give a shout out to my birthday boy Jackson who turned 9 on Feb. 23rd! My wonderful boy celebrated with 5 friends. Tom and our friend Wade took the boys fishing and they came back to our house for pizza, cake and icecream afterwards. Jackson finally lost his front teeth and I love the empty space! He is loving GOLF and will be starting back to gymnastics shortly.

Our little girl is growing up very quickly! Maddie turned 11 on March 7th. She is very fond of Elmo (in a very grown up way :)) and we headed to have breakfast with Elmo at Sea World San Diego. Grandma and Grandpa Arnold joined us as we celebrated her birthday. She is a total tween and loves the TWILIGHT series. I did take her to see the movie and she is so "Team Edward". Madison is starting her second year of piano. She is finishing up her Bronze award for Junior Girl scouts with a Mission: animal rescue community service project andshe is looking forward to starting water polo soon. Hard to believe she will be off to middle school in Sept!

Happy Birthday Maddie!

Mason turned 3 on March 10th....I'm still trying to figure out where all that time has gone. We celebrated at home with a Diego cake and icecream. Mason paid a visit to build-a-bear and was in awe of all of the choices....he finally decided on a soft fuzzy bear (he named him "bear") with a batman ensemble. Mason is our social little fellow...he has never met a stranger. He LOVES to chat and makes us laugh. I love those chubby cheeks that are still sticking around! Mason is way into pretend and dress up. He loves Diego and Dora. It's great to be three!
