Spending the day at the beach with friends is a summertime favorite. The day seems to slip by in no time at all. 5+ hours of sand castle building, wave riding, hole digging, kid burying, sun tanning FUN! We tried out the new skim boards (I didn't get pictures) ...the kids were perfecting their skimming skills. We loved the Carlsbad beach, but next time we are heading back to South Pontos...it is worth paying to park when the walk is a stone's throw to the sandy shores.
