We finally made the trip to Bates Nut Farm this weekend. We fought the crowds at this Southern California Hot spot to collect our annual pumpkins and experience the farm in all it's splendor. After weaving our way through the straw maze and bumpin' up and down on the tractor driven hay ride we went in search of our perfect pumkins. After all that work we cooled down with an ice cream treat....nothing like the 85 degree weather in the middle of October. I made sure to pick up a LARGE portion of the the Bates Nut Farm homeade fudge....pumpkin pie and rocky road are my favorite.
Check out the pics. of the carved pumpkin gallery. We ended up carving the pumkins when we got home from the farm... the kids pulled out the pumkin "guts" and I helped them carve their masterpieces. Mason wanted a smiley face, Lucas has the spongebob pumkin, Jack did the doggie pumpkin and Maddie's is a betty boop-ish girlie pumkin (with a wig). FUN!
