Most of you know that Lucas truly hates having his picture taken. I keep hoping this is a passing phase (2 years and counting). It typically takes some really good bribery, a bit of encouragement and lots of patience to get Lucas to pose for even one picture. So, you can imagine my surprise, and sheer delight, when out of the blue Lucas asked me to get out the camera. He had been working on creating a scarecrow using odds and ends around the house, it was a project for school. He really got into it using pennies for a smile and the buttons and nuts and bolts for the facial features. I ran as fast as I could and scooped the camera out of my purse, hoping that he wouldn't change his mind. He very happily posed for not one, but many pictures with his scarecrow. I was one happy Mom. Lucas, you made my day and I'm so glad I have some great pictures to remember you and your awesome scarecrow with.
